We know that sending your son or daughter into the world for the first time is one of the more important and challenging decisions you have yet to make as parents. At Misty Mountain, we believe that you are doing much more than enrolling your child--you are joining an extended family.
Our greatest assets are the parents and children that come to the Centre, and as such, we invest considerable time and energy in ensuring shared goals and a strong match for everyone involved before joining in that commitment.
Our ideal candidate parent:
- values the Montessori method (or is interested in learning more)
- commits to the full three-year cycle of the Primary program, including the crucial "kindergarten" year
- teaches independence and simplicity at home
- chooses healthful foods and minimizes television exposure for their children
- possesses a flexibility and sense of humor regarding parenting and their own child

We will then schedule:
- an initial parent observation
- a family interview
- a child visitation.
Once we have proceeded through these steps, we will be able to make an admissions decision based on three outcomes:
- acceptance and enrollment
- deferral (acceptance pending completion of recommended actions)
- wait-list
